TAMPA BAY − Will the 2014 economy soar? Hear what some industry leaders predict when the Central Pinellas Chamber of Commerce presents Focus on 2014: A Tampa Bay Economic Forecast. It takes place on Tuesday, Jan. 21 at from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort, 1160 Gulf Blvd, Clearwater.
This annual signature event features a panel of business experts who will share predictions and provide insight on significant global, national and regional issues destined to impact the Tampa Bay economy. This year’s Focus panelists of industry leaders and their topics include:
Economic Forecast by Philip K. Porter, Ph.D., Professor of Economics at USF.
Health Care Forecast by Carl Patten, Director of Health Care Policy at Florida Blue.
Employment Forecast by Ed Peachey, President and CEO of WorkNet Pinellas and the Tampa Bay Workforce Alliance.
Energy Forecast by Alex Glenn, President of Duke Energy Florida, which serves 1.7 million electric retail customers in central Florida, including Pinellas County and the greater Orlando area.
