SARASOTA, FL (January 8, 2014) – The Central West Coast Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (CWC-FPRA) presents The PR Function: Management and Measurement at its monthly professional development meeting on Wednesday, January 15, 2014, from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at The Meadows Country Club, 3101 Longmeadow, Sarasota, FL 34235.
Communication professionals are often challenged to explain how the public relations function adds value to an organization. PR specialist, consultant and trainer Susan Croft will provide insight on how to develop PR strategies and objectives that are aligned with corporate goals. She will explain the importance of internal and external communications and how brand development contributes to the bottom line. She offers tips and techniques for effective public relations measurement, including how to measure “Output, Outtake and Outcome” and how to conduct management audits on the effectiveness of communications.
Susan Croft is a specialist in public relations and corporate reputation management and is an international public speaker and corporate trainer. She is a founder and partner in ASC Training & Consulting, which offers communication consulting for leading commercial and nonprofit business.
Susan is also a director of Skill Pill M-Learning, a company providing just-in-time training refreshers to mobile devices in 2-minute animated videos.
Susan offers training in sales, communications, marketing and interpersonal skills. A former journalist, she also works with individuals and organizations in developing effective media skills for today’s “sound bite” society.
Susan was a senior consultant with the international PR firm, Hill & Knowlton for 14 years. Still a member of Hill & Knowlton’s training faculty, Susan runs frequent workshops for the firm’s staff and clients. Prior to Hill & Knowlton, she ran her own Los Angeles-based PR firm that was acquired by a leading international agency.
The Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) has been serving Florida public relations professionals for 70 years, being founded in 1938 by Lt. Col. John W. Dillin. FPRA is the oldest public relations organization in the United States. There are 15 professional chapters and many university chapters located throughout Florida, including the Central West Coast Chapter.
