Tom Styczynski is an award winning photographic artist with 35 years experience. Tom hand-prints his photographic artwork on Gelatin paper. Silver Gelatin is the traditional, old school fiber-based black and white photographic printing paper. This is the same paper that for the last one hundred years has been used and trusted by renowned photographers and printers who wish to present their artwork with the richest tones and longest archival permanence. Collectors and museums worldwide seek out Silver Gelatin prints for their beauty and longevity.
Tom personally prints his negatives with a thirty year old DeVere enlarger in his darkroom. The process is time consuming, expensive, laborious, and extremely rewarding. The collection of prints are processed to meet or surpass current archival standards. Each print is tested to assure maximum permanence. All photographic prints are selenium toned for its beauty, richness, and for the added permanence that selenium toning provides. The prints are finished by carefully mounting and matting them with acid free museum rag board. Tom uses UV inhibiting glass to protect and complete the framed artwork.
