|SARASOTA/MANATEE – Planning for retirement, and business succession, are themes of the first BizEdConnect of 2014, to be held Jan. 22.
Phil Couture, an asset management adviser with more than 30 years of experience, will lead the discussion, which is part of the Sarasota Manatee Business Coalition’s monthly BizEdConnect series melding business networking, entertainment and education.
Couture will cover the wide array of retirement planning options available today, including those involving tax-deferred or tax-deductible features. Couture will also share succession planning techniques such as selling your business to a third-party, employee or manager, or transferring your business to family members through sales or gifts.
The Jan. 22 BizEdConnect will be held 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Sarasota Yacht Club, 1100 John Ringling Blvd., Sarasota. In addition to Couture’s guidance, the evening will feature networking, entertainment and a SRQ Yacht Club summary of membership opportunities and benefits.
