|(SARASOTA, FL, January 5, 2014) AAF-Suncoast is now accepting entries for the 2014 ADDY® Awards. The entry deadline is Friday, January 17, 2014. The late entry deadline is Monday, January 20th, 2014. Late fee applies.
The ADDY awards are an annual three-tiered national competition conducted by the American Advertising Federation to honor and recognize exceptional advertising. It is the advertising industry’s largest and most representative professional and student competition.
To be eligible for the professional competition, work must have been created in the Suncoast or southwest Florida regions (from Bradenton to Naples), must have been created for an actual customer, and must have been published or aired between January 1 and December 31, 2013.
Student competition eligibility requires enrollment in an accredited U.S. educational institution.
All entries must be submitted using the ADDY online software available at: http://www.adfedsuncoast.com/addys/addycentral/ . Printed copies of the work and a copy of the online registration confirmation must be submitted in the physical entry packet. Digital entries and/or images of the work must be uploaded, and non-digital entries may be submitted in the physical entry packet, along with a mounted display board for gallery showing (optional).

Judging for the local competition will take place January 25-26. Advertising professionals who will serve as judges are: TJ Aseltyne, Jackie Barker, Wanda McKoy and Angela Wires. Aseltyne is the Associate Creative Director at 160over90. Barker is the President of Sky Advertising. McKoy is owner of Express Print and Promotional Items. Wires is the owner of Creative Services, a Knoxville production studio.
Winners will be announced and awards presented at the “ADDY Underground” event on February 22nd. The event will be held at Westfield Sarasota Square Mall. Additional event information to follow in upcoming weeks.
Winning entries are eligible to enter the AAF District 4 ADDY competition, and District 4 winners are eligible to enter the national ADDY competition.
Cost for entry in the professional competition is:
AdFed Members – $75 single, $95 campaign; Non-members – $135 single, $165 campaign.
For the student competition, entry costs are:
AdFed Members – $35 single, $45 campaign; Non-members – $45 single, $55 campaign.
Late entries, received after the deadline but before 5 pm on January 20, will be charged an additional $50 per entry.
AdFed Suncoast is a member association comprised of advertising and media professionals. Proceeds from the ADDY Awards help to support the chapter’s educational programs, public service projects and government relations efforts, as well as an annual scholarship for a student inadvertising, marketing, communications or design.
