This series of five workshops is designed for people who are considering starting or purchasing a business. SCORE volunteers serve as workshop presenters, and volunteer mentors will be on hand to answer questions.
Startup Basics is an important introduction to the series. It covers critical factors in achieving business success and the advantages and disadvantages of different business structures. Although it is offered free of charge, pre-registration is requested.
Attending one Startup Basics and the remaining four workshops is recommended, although registration is open to any workshop.
Workshops that complete this series are: Your Business Concept (February 3), Marketing Plan (February 10), Financial Projections (February 24), and Funding Sources (March 3). These workshops cost $25 each.
All workshops in this series will be held on Mondays, beginning at 5:30 p.m., at Argosy University, 5250 17th St., Sarasota. Financial Projections is a 4-hour session; all other sessions are 3 hours.
