(December 19, 2013) – DOW Electronics, the leading Consumer Electronics distributor in the Southeast, announced today that it has expanded its lineup of 12 volt and home integration products by securing distribution of the Metra brand and its subsidiaries. DOW Electronics will distribute Metra’s products throughout their territory in the Southeast U.S. and Puerto Rico.
Metra Electronics is the world’s leading manufacturer of car stereo installation dash kits and mobile electronic accessories. Metra has been innovating products to meet the needs of the marketplace for over 60 years. Through their acquisition of the ongoing operations of Shifting Sands Stereo Distribution, DOW Electronics was able to establish a relationship and come to an agreement on distributing the Metra family of brands to assist in growing Metra’s lines throughout the Southeast. The new partnership includes the Metra, Axxess Integrate, Install Bay and T-Spec brands for the 12-Volt market and the Audio Solutions and Ethereal lines for the Home Entertainment and Custom Integration markets.
DOW Electronics will support the Metra brands with knowledgeable sales support and fast, reliable shipping to retailers and installers. The full line of products will be available for pick up at DOW Electronics’ Atlanta and Tampa Product Integration Centers and will also be available for shipping throughout the Southeast United States and Puerto Rico.
