(Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, St. Petersburg, FL); After last year’s triumphant performance, The Calidore String Quartet, returns to the Palladium for their only Tampa Bay performance. This fiery chamber group made up of four young artists, one a St. Petersburg native, has been described as “a miracle of unified thought…” (La Presse, Montreal) and “nothing short of a revelation” (Calgary Herald).
Calidore has established an international reputation for its informed, polished and captivating performances. Recent concerts include debuts at prestigious festivals including Verbier and Ravinia, the Schneider Concert Series (NYC), and feature as “Young Artist-in-Residence” on American Public Media’s “Performance Today.” Calidore has collaborated with artists and ensembles including Joshua Bell, Menahem Pressler, Quatuor Ebene, Angel Romero and the Calder Quartet. The Calidore String Quartet is Jeffrey Myers (violin), Ryan Meehan (violin, St. Petersburg native), Jeremy Berry (viola), Estelle Choi (cello).
