Our Southern-Florida based company, SeaBird Simulations, is about to offer an exciting new form of recreation. Aside from an unprecedented level of ‘fun’, our company will deliver a variety of important benefits to the area: All construction is planned in the Tampa area; our product will be a strong STEM supporter for local children and will afford powerful incentives for kids to develop interests in the STEM areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math; and we have already begun working with local benefactors to provide free services to local disabled and underprivileged populations. We would be grateful if you would receive the following press release:
AquaVenture WaterCrafts announces the development of the SeaBird Submarine Simulator, the first product from their newly formed subsidiary SeaBird Simulations. The SeaBird Simulator will offer an experience unavailable in any other form of recreation. Imagine an underwater jet-fighter or an underwater rollercoaster where you control the direction of the track ahead of you in real time. There are amusement park rides that can throw you around in every direction, but the motion is entirely out of the rider’s control, whereas the best park rides sometimes offer a fully immersive visual environment, but limited motion and no control. And the best video games offer control and a near-photorealistic (though non-immersive) visual environment, but no motion. What makes the SeaBird Simulator unique is that it combines the best of all the aforementioned experiences – a fully immersive visual environment, extreme-motion in nearly any orientation, and the rider has full control of it all! SeaBird Simulations calls it virtual reality plus – a leap beyond existing technology – a simulation approaching the realism of the Star Trek Holideck, where reality was simulated with near perfect precision.
The SeaBird Simulator will launch in the role of a simulator for its parent company’s SeaBird Submarine, the world’s fastest non-nuclear powered sub. The underwater environment is an exciting setting that for most people is as foreign as outer space, so it is a perfect venue for exploration. Anyone can begin to operate the simulator effectively, from the moment they push the throttle forward. And the technology is transferable to various other venues. There are plans to follow on with a ‘Super-Fantastic Voyage’ experience, where like the movie of a similar name, the riders will navigate throughout a human body, in an experience that will be both exciting, fun, and educational. The technology offers additional possibilities, and SeaBird Simulations is only a matter of months from giving rides to the public. The company has just begun a Kickstarter campaign where simulator tickets can be purchased today for rides beginning in May 2014.
More details are available on SeaBird Simulations’ Kickstarter campaign page: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/seabird/seabird-submarine-simulator The ongoing campaign ends January 11.
