St. Petersburg, FL — The Listening Room Festival comes back April 1-7, for it’s third year. The annual celebration of house concerts features international talent doing unplugged performances in living rooms across the state. House concerts are a tradition that goes back well beyond Mozart and chamber music, but in recent years, living room, basement, and clubhouse concerts have evolved to become the best opportunities for independent touring artists.
This year, the festival is also planning 50 Office Concerts in businesses around the Tampa Bay area. In partnership with local arts organizations like the St. Petersburg Arts Alliance, these 35-minute concerts will raise funds for arts programs year round. Businesses are also encouraged to pick a charity partner for a second concert performance.
Featured performers for this year’s festival include Rebecca Loebe, a favorite on TV’s The Voice, and local guitar-deity Shaun Hopper. Also participating are Carli and Julie Kennedy (BC), Kira Small (TN), The Currys (FL), and Mieka Pauley (NY). These artists are available for office concerts and house concerts during the festival.
The festival week culminates with a showcase finale at the Palladium Theater in St. Petersburg on Sunday April 6th.
