ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (December 17, 2013) – CREW Tampa Bay (Commercial Real Estate Women) is pleased to announce the winners of the 2013 CREW Tampa Bay Excellence Awards. The awards were presented at an elegant sold-out affair at the Renaissance Vinoy Resort & Golf Club in downtown St. Petersburg on the evening of December 5.
The awards honored some of the best and brightest in the Tampa Bay area commercial real estate industry, while taking a wide-ranging approach to award classifications. Nominations were generated by CREW members and analyzed by a panel of local real estate and development experts and respected civic leaders, who chose the winners.
The awards themselves were designed and commissioned by a local artist, Sean Pascoe, making the award something that industry professionals will value in years to come.
The President’s Award was presented during the awards ceremony to ABI Companies, Inc. for its commitment to CREW Tampa Bay and support to the group’s leadership and mission. Established in 1985, ABI specializes in commercial interior improvements, as well as renovation of existing facilities and new construction.
Albert Berriz, CEO of McKinley, Inc., was also honored with the Excellence in Corporate Leadership award. CREW recognized Berriz for his commitment to the community while maintaining a successful, profitable enterprise, and for his continued support to CREW’s mission. He has been an inspiration to his employees, clients and peers by making it a priority to enrich the quality of life in the communities in which they live and work.
“This year’s awards attracted excellent applicants, which led to high-quality winners that truly represent the excellence of the Tampa Bay commercial real estate industry,” said CREW Tampa Bay President Leigh Fletcher. “We are thankful for the support of our members and sponsors, which has made the Excellence Awards such a success.”
