|360 Registrants,Sponsors, Donors, and Volunteers Recognized for our Most Successful Race yet!
SARASOTA, FL– Community Haven for Adults and Children with Disabilities, Inc. would like to recognize the 360 registrants, sponsors, donors, and volunteers that worked together to raise over $25,000 for programs and services which provide housing, educational, and vocational opportunities for individuals with disabilities in Sarasota and Manatee counties. Celebrating their 16thyear hosting the Manasota Track Club sanctioned 5K Race last Saturday, December 7th, the holiday spirit was high with Santa and helpers greeting runners, sponsors, volunteers, and Community Haven clients and staff in attendance.
“For the first time, we used on-line registration which helped increase our numbers.” Dan Deegan, Director of Finance at Community Haven reported. “This year 335 out of 360 registrants crossed the finish line which The Fry Family Foundation donated a $20 matching gift for every runner who finished the race. Overall corporate sponsorships were up which also contributed to a very successful fundraising event.”
