|(Bradenton, FL)— To provide consumers with additional opportunities to enroll in the Health Insurance Marketplace before the Dec. 23 deadline Manatee County Rural Health Services, Inc.’s (MCRHS) Certified Application Counselors will be out in the community Dec. 16 – Dec. 20 to assist consumers with enrollment. These community enrollment sites are in addition to MCRHS’ eight existing Health Insurance Marketplace enrollment locations. Consumers who enroll in the program by the Dec. 23 deadline can receive insurance coverage in January 2014.
MCRHS is also offering extended hours at some of its eight existing locations to accommodate people who need to meet with Counselors before 9 a.m. or after 5 p.m.
Walk-ins are welcome although consumers are encouraged to call (855) 253-9098 to make an appointment to speak with a counselor and to determine what information they need to bring with them to complete the enrollment process, and save time. Consumers can also visit our Website at www.mcrhs.org for a complete listing of all eight existing enrollment locations, community based enrollment sites, and hours of operation.
All MCRHS offices, including all Health Insurance Marketplace enrollment sites, will be closed in observance of the holidays on Tuesday, Dec. 24 and Wednesday, Dec. 25, and Wednesday, Jan. 1.

The Health Insurance Marketplace is part of the Affordable Care Act, the health care law that enables U.S. citizens to access and purchase affordable health insurance.
