| Palmetto, Florida, December 2, 2013 – On Friday November 15th at the Early Learning Coalition of Manatee County’s Second Annual Jim Boyd Golf Classic held at the Longboat Key Club’s Harbourside Golf Course, members of the Hernando de Soto Historical Society presented Paul Sharff, Chief Executive Officer of the Early Learning Coalition of Manatee County, a check in the amount of $30,000.00 from the Conquistador Historical Foundation (CHF). CHF is the Society’s 501 (c) (3), whose mission is to promote charitable, literary and educational opportunities for the children and their families who reside in Manatee County. The Society and Foundation are working collaboratively with the ELC to strengthen existing programs, such as the De Soto Children’s Parade and Party in the Park, providing new educational venues to positively impact the children and Families of Manatee County
The Early Learning Coalition of Manatee County, Inc. is a multi-service agency dedicated to helping children develop skills that they will need to be successful in school and life.
