|December 3, 2013 Bradenton,FL – After 5 years of developing their business in West Bradenton, United Tennis Academy founders Jeff Russell and Gabriel Trifu sought to find a home where the Academy could continue to grow and offer more services and amenities. They found the perfect opportunity in The Racquet Club at El Conquistador.
The Racquet Club at El Conquistador has been a fixture in the Manatee/Sarasota tennis community for decades. The members only club features 15 clay courts, clubhouse and bar and grill. The club will continue to provide all existing services as well as new ones. In order to merge the new vision with tradition the new name of the club will be United Tennis Club at El Conquistador.
United Tennis hit the ground running by making improvements to the clubs offerings by bringing in a new General Manager, Restaurant Manager and Director of Adult Tennis. The existing staff has stayed on ensuring a smooth transition. New programming will begin as early as this week which includes adult clinics, pro-ams, round robins and cardio tennis. Other plans include implementing a tiny tots program, hosting tournaments, and revitalization of the facilities and restaurant offerings.
Owner Jeff Russell talked about the acquisition “We are excited for the possibilities with the club. Not only is it a great home for our Academy students, but tennis is a lifelong sport and we want to reach the entire local tennis community. The existing members have been so supportive. We look forward to working with them, as well as new members, to improve the club and its offerings.”
