(TALLAHASSEE, Fla.) – Adams and Reese is pleased to announce that well-known and longtime Florida labor and employment attorney Scott Callen has joined the firm as a Partner in the firm’s Tallahassee and Tampa offices and as a member of the Special Business Services Practice Group.
Callen most recently practiced for Foley & Lardner LLP as an equity partner and brings 15 years of experience throughout the state of Florida as a Labor and Employment attorney, representing clients in various industries, including hospitality, resort and golf, and food and beverage. He also has experience in civil litigation, corporate counseling, administrative and commercial litigation
Callen has been selected in Labor and Employment Law in the “Legal Elite™” by Florida Trend magazine, in which less than two percent of Florida attorneys receive this designation.

Callen has experience with the Fair Labor Standards Act, Family Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Title VII and various other federal and state employment law matters. He also has experience in employment and benefit implications related to the Affordable Care Act.
Callen was published by Thomson Reuters/Aspatore (2012) in which he authored a chapter entitled, “Key Components of Defending Employer Clients in Litigation,” of Inside the Minds – Strategies for Employment Litigation. He is a frequent speaker on employment law topics, and writing and applying employment handbooks in Florida.

Callen received his J.D., cum laude, from Florida State University College of Law in 1998, and a bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from Florida State University in 1995.
