The booklets may be purchased for specific members, or as scholarships for seniors to take part in the Senior Wheels program.

For more than three decades, Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee has collected wrapped shoeboxes filled with goodies for Manatee County seniors. Most are homebound and alone, and may otherwise not have a gift to open at all during the holiday season. Through December 8, 2013, the public is asked to fill a shoebox with gifts for a senior, wrap the top and bottom separately for the holidays, and drop it off at Meals on Wheels PLUS, 811 23rd Avenue East, Bradenton, 34205. Gift ideas include lotions, hand soap, shampoo, toothpaste, lotions, slippers, pens, stationery, and other nonperishable necessities.
These local organizations have joined this gift outreach, collecting boxes and hosting collection parties.
