The City of Brooksville and Hernando County Government invite you to join them in the 2013 “Christmas on Main Street” on Thursday, December 12, 2013, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Stroll down Main Street in downtown Brooksville and enjoy an old-fashioned Christmas! Many downtown merchants will be open extended hours as well as offering holiday treats and entertainment! City Hall Art Gallery will host their quarterly Art Exhibit Reception from 5 to 7pm, 201 Howell Avenue.
From 5:15 until 6:45 pm, enjoy a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the House of Passage directly across from the historic Courthouse. New this year…Patricia’s Boutique will feature a live display window “Patricia’s Windows Comes to Life” – live models dressed in beautiful gowns! A free wine tasting by Brookstone Wines with samples of their seasonal Cranapple Celebration. A Christmas movie with popcorn for the children at Main Street Eatery. Stop by Wild Ivy’s and Karma Couture to enter their annual coloring contest to win some awesome prizes! There will be carolers strolling and singing their holiday melodies…street vendors selling their holiday wares! Just about something for everyone!
At 7:00 p.m., the lighting of the Christmas Tree will take place, followed by an hour of holiday entertainment. The program will be videotaped by Hernando County Government Broadcasting and aired throughout the holidays on Bright House Channel 622 and webstreamed at www.hernandocounty.us.
