Chef Paul Mattison announces a pre-matinee “Luncheon and Children’s Event” on Saturday, December 21, 2013 in the Grand Foyer of the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall in Sarasota, Florida. Tickets to the “Luncheon and Children’s Event” include lunch and activities and are $18 for adults and $15 for children plus tax and gratuity. Advance ticket purchase is required and can be done by calling 941.921.3400. While it is encouraged to attend the Ballet performance, it is not a requirement to have a “Nutcracker” matinee ballet ticket to attend the “Luncheon and Children’s Event”.
The lunch menu by Mattison’s Bayside at the Van Wezel, includes a variety of stations including Mac & Cheese, Salads, Beef and Chicken Tacos, Sliders, and a make-your-own Sundae Bar. Soft beverages and water are included in the price.
BMO Harris Bank, event sponsor, is planning many children’s activities from 11:30am, including face painting, jugglers, glitter tattooing, photographs with Santa, clowns, stilt walker, balloon artist, and so much more.
The Sarasota Ballet’s matinee production of “John Ringling’s Circus Nutcracker” starts at 2pm and tickets may be purchased by contacting the Sarasota Ballet Box Office at 941.359.0099 x101.
Mattison’s Bayside at the Van Wezel also serves an extravagant buffet dinner for $45 (includes tax and gratuity) from 6pm before the evening ballet performance. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 941.921.3400. Sample menu items include gourmet cheese display, fresh salad bars with multiple toppings and dressing choices, prime rib carving station, fresh catch entrée, seasonal vegetables, garlic mashed, pasta station, assorted house made desserts and more.
