Local Chef Mary Skinner shares her modern twist on healthy food with customers in Tampa Bay.

Chef Mary Skinner has an interesting and diverse past. She studied theatre and performed on stage and in film and television in New York City before earning her culinary degree at NY’s premier health supportive culinary school, The Natural Gourmet Institute. While supplementing her income working in restaurants, Mary discovered her real passion — combining fine dining with healthy cooking…thus FineDine Organic Cuisine was born and is now in Tampa Bay.
Skinner’s philosophy is that food should be tasty and healthy. A lifelong proponent of organic living, she realizes the benefits of good living and now uses her talents and time to promote well-being, animal welfare and sustainability. She states: “We grow our own herbs in an organic garden that is watered with recycled rain water. The company car is a hybrid, we use recycled and earth-friendly products for catered events — and we recycle!” She also supports the movement against the use of genetic modification and other dangerous chemicals in our food supply.
Chef Mary draws on her influences from her life and travels in a creative and healthy way. Her training in Macrobiotics, Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda taught her to utilize ingredients that will nourish and protect. She creates mixology magic in her unique gourmet smoothies that are chock full of healthful ingredients for added health benefits. This isn’t your local smoothie shop smoothie.
Skinner takes being a personal chef seriously and works with you and your family on special dietary needs such as celiac, cancer, diabetes and behavioral issues resulting in dietary concerns or weight loss. If you want to cleanse or detox, she will come to your home and prepare juices, tonics and soups. Raw diets, gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian menus are artfully designed and prepared.
