Election of new officers and Chair’s Cup award winner to also be announced at meeting
TAMPA BAY, FLA. (November 21, 2013) – The Tampa Bay Partnership will focus on unleashing the stories of the Tampa Bay region during its Annual Community Update (ACU). During the ACU, scheduled for tomorrow, November 22 at A La Carte Event Pavilion, the Partnership will launch its new digital ambassador program – #WeAreALLTampaBay – that will give the Tampa Bay community the opportunity to help the Partnership market the region via participants’ various social networks.
Marketing guru Andrew Davis will be the keynote speaker of the event. Davis, best-selling author of “Brandscaping: Unleashing the Power of Partnerships,” will motivate and provide attendees with the best tips and advice on how to work together as one region to tell the great business stories of our community.
In addition, the Partnership will also formally elect its new officers for 2014 and honor the winner of the Chair’s Cup for Excellence in Regionalism.
The Partnership’s slate of officers for 2014 includes:
- Chairman – Barry M. Alpert, Vice President of Investments, Raymond James
- Vice Chairman – Brian Lamb, President & CEO, Fifth Third Bank
- Secretary/Treasurer – Allen Brinkman, President & CEO, SunTrust Bank, Tampa Bay
The Chair’s Cup for Excellence in Regionalism will be presented to Randy Berridge, president of the Florida High Tech Corridor Council. The award, which was established to honor individuals in both the public and private sectors who have exhibited leadership and advocated for resources to improve the prosperity of Tampa Bay, has been presented to more than 25 leaders since 2001. Previous recipients include Governor Jeb Bush, Senator Bob Graham and Congressman Bill Young.
