|The Bridge Street Merchants are hosting the 1st Annual Lighting of Bridge Street on Small Business Saturday Shop Local. The evening will be filled with great music, good food, crafts and a full bar. Come join us for the pre-holiday FUN!!!
Saturday, November 30th 5-10 pm on Historic Bridge Street in Bradenton Beach on Anna Maria Island.
The Bridge Street Merchants; a non for profit 501 c6 comprised of business owners whose mission it is to promote Historic Bridge Street, the Bradenton Beach Community, and all its businesses has been raising money to light up the area with Christmas lights. The Merchants want to become a destination you would like to visit with your families and friends to enjoy the holiday spirit, locally owned shops and great restaurants. All the shops will have lights decorating the outsides of their businesses, both traffic circles will have lights and several of the palm trees and other structures along Bridge Street will be lit up to celebrate the kick off to the holiday season.
We will also have a full bar with beer, wine, and liquor. Food will be provided by O’Shucks restaurant from Cortez. The event is free to the public and promises festive holiday fun. The event will be held where the Bridge Street Markets are held, 107 Bridge Street, Bradenton Beach, adjacent to the Fish Hole Adventure Golf.
For those who can’t sit still dancing, hula hooping, life size Jenga and shopping are welcome at this family-friendly event. The local Sarasota Band Ted Stevens and the Doo Shots will be playing 7-10 and has had regular gigs at other music venues on Anna Maria Island as well as throughout Sarasota, Tampa/St. Pete. Ted Stevens and the Doo-Shots are the NUMBER ONE rockabilly act for a reason. They play 200 plus shows per year playing old school rock and roll with a great show and dancing from start to finish!
Organizers suggest using the free island trolley, which runs until 10:30pm. With over 80 spots throughout Anna Maria and a stop right at Bridge Street, it is the best way to travel and not have to worry about parking.
