Clearwater, Florida (November 14, 2013) The Pinellas REALTOR® Organization’s (PRO) Pinellas International Council (PIC) was named a Gold Council for 2013 by the National Association of REALTORS®’ (NAR) Global Achievement Program. This is the third year in a row that the council has achieved this honor.
Among the nearly 100 global business councils operating nationwide, only 13 other REALTOR® associations have been named a Gold Council. Councils are evaluated in five focus areas: communication, community outreach, membership value creation, education, and media outreach/social media. This honor was given in part by the dedication that PRO and PIC have put forth in an effort to raising members’ awareness of global business opportunities in the Tampa Bay area.
The Pinellas International Council hosts numerous educational and social opportunities for PRO REALTOR® members who are interested in international real estate. Jan Dean, Staff Liaison for PIC, says “Since foreign buyers make up 23% of home sales in Florida, the offerings that PIC provides to our REALTOR® members are invaluable.”
The Pinellas REALTOR® Organization is one of Tampa Bay’s largest professional trade associations, representing the interests of over 5,200 real estate professionals. PRO provides its REALTOR® members with an array of real estate-related programs, products and services, including professional development, legislative advocacy, and business enhancers.
