Tampa, Fla, November 14, 2013 – The Grand Beauty Spa, A Tampa Luxury European Day Spa, today announced that the In Two Weeks Foundation, in memory of Barbara Joyce Plaster, will match funds raised by The Grand Beauty Spa’s “6th Annual Charity Concert, Kids Helping Kids Through Music” to benefit Everyday Blessings – the event takes place tomorrow, 11/15/13, at 6:30pm at the Friday Morning Musicale, 809 W. Horatio Street. Ticket pre-sales currently total $4,000 and The Grand hopes to reach $6,000 for tomorrow’s event. With the 100% matching funds from In Two Weeks Foundation, Inc., proceeds will fund the purchase of a van for Everyday Blessings for the safe transport of children.
“Kids Helping Kids” features exceptionally talented children from across the bay area and was the inspiration of Grand Beauty Spa owner Carmen Sargeant’s son Steven at age 7. A gifted pianist, Steven wanted to help children who are less fortunate during the holidays by playing a concert at The Grand. His accomplishments include National Federation of Music Clubs: Piano Solo, 7 Years Superior Ratings (2nd Gold Cup), 4 Years Superior in Concerto and Pat./Folk Events, 2008 2nd award in Piano Solo at Junior Convention, 2nd Prize in sonatina competition at St. Petersburg College, 4 years in Fall Festival and 2 years Piano Guild National Winner. He is joined by numerous, similarly talented children for this special event.

Kids Helping Kids Charity Concert

The event will be emceed by FOX13 News Anchor Denise White, and begins at 6:30pm tomorrow (Friday, 11/15) at the Friday Morning Musicale, 809 W. Horatio Street. Tickets are $20 at the door (and are available from The Grand Beauty Spa). Donations are accepted.
Everyday Blessings, Inc. cares for up to 28 children in Thonotosassa and up to 12 children at their Sarasota location while they await permanent placement. The children in their program range in age from newborn through 17 years old. They come from all economic backgrounds and ethnic groups and have been removed from their previous home due to abuse, neglect or abandonment.
