Tampa – In celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week, HCC announces “A Business Pitch – Shark Tank Competition” as the final event in the fall Business Leadership and Innovator Speakers Series. Seven HCC students will present their ideas for a business using the business model canvas and compete in front of an audience and panel of business professionals for a chance to win $5,000 in prizes. Guest judges include Susie Steiner, Startup Weekend; Greta Kishbaugh, entrepreneur and business faculty at HCC; Phil Michaels, social entrepreneur and graduate student at the University of Tampa; Jessica Rivelli, founder of Working Women of Tampa Bay; and Erin Meagher, founder of Beneficial Blends and Chief Coconut.
The Innovator Series was developed by members of the business administration faculty to enrich the learning experience for students interested in entrepreneurial education, provide networking opportunities for those looking to exchange ideas, and to promote the college as a resource for entrepreneurial activities in the Tampa Bay community.
This event is open to all HCC students and the public. The event will take place on Friday, November 15, in the Dale Mabry Campus Learning Resource Center Room 106. Events are free to HCC students and the public. More information can be found at EI@hccfl.edu.
