TAMPA, Fla. (Nov. 7, 2013) – Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union announces the launch of Credit Cards for Members, a credit card participation program designed to provide credit unions with the tools necessary to offer members full-service credit card services. Benefits to credit unions include full-service administration by Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union, branded credit cards, revenue share, portfolio buy-back options and the ability to offer a competitive product to members that would otherwise be unavailable to them.
Additionally, member benefits include transparency, security, fraud protection, electronic reports, reward points or cash back, no annual fees, low rates, no hidden fees, no punitive fees and no punitive interest rates.
Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union partnered with PBC Credit Union, headquartered in West Palm Beach Florida with assets of $114 million, in April 2013 and has since opened more than 500 VISA credit card accounts. Prior to Credit Cards for Members, PBC Credit Union relied on competitive processors to offer credit card services to members.
“This program embodies the credit union philosophy of helping members and allows us to work with credit unions who do not have the infrastructure to provide credit card services to their members,” says Jon Rasmussen, Vice President of Card Services at Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union.
