Venice, Fla. – The Venice High School (VHS) Indians scored a big win with a new LED screen, now on display inside their gymnasium, donated by Neal Communities. The screen and scoreboard made its debut at the first volleyball game played in the brand new gymnasium at VHS last month.
“When we heard about the tremendous improvements being made to the VHS campus, including a brand new gymnasium, we wanted to do something to support all of their past and future successes,” said Pat Neal, president and CEO of the Lakewood Ranch-based, new home building company, Neal Communities. “This is our way of supplying championship sports teams with a scoreboard worthy of their athletic abilities. Students and fans can enjoy this year round,” said Neal.
Neal Communities will make two $20,000 donations to pay for the new screen that can be used to display scores, play videos, and show customized messages. The screen will benefit not only the athletes who play in the gym, but also all of the students in school assemblies.
“We are so thrilled and grateful to have received this donation from Pat Neal and his team,” said Jack Turgeon, Venice High School Principal. “Venice High School is so proud of this new addition to our gymnasium, and we can’t wait to share the donation with our friends, family and fans! Go Indians!” said Turgeon.
