Bradenton, Fla. – Neal Communities will sponsor the inaugural Pussycat Festival in Bradenton with a $2,000 donation for the event, which will be held on Saturday, November 9th at Tarpon Pointe Tiki Bar & Grill. The festival, which will feature a concert and live music, will benefit the Gulf Shore Animal League (GSAL).
The festival is endorsed by several local organizations: the Humane Society of Manatee County, Bishop Animal Shelter and Nate’s Honor Animal Rescue. The GSAL is a non-profit organization run by volunteers and is a leader in efforts to make Manatee a no-kill community. The organization assists by providing funding and coordinating TNR (“Trap-Neuter-Return”) services, a popular way to manage the feral cat population.
“We feel that we have a duty to support our community, not only to the people who live and work here, but to the animals as well,” stated Pat Neal, Neal Communities’ President and CEO. “It makes sense for us to be involved with organizations like the Gulf Shore Animal League because of the great work they are doing to improve the lives of animals and the community we live in.”
The Pussycat Festival concert lineup is set to feature several talented live performances by Beverly McClellan, a top finalist on NBC’s “The Voice”, Melissa McGhee, a finalist on the 12th season of “American Idol”, Singer/Songwriter Diane Ward, Sarasota-based folk group Passerine, as well as Sophie B. Hawkins, a Grammy-nominated Singer. The event will be held at Tarpon Pointe Grill and Tiki Bar, located at 801 Riverside Drive East in Bradenton, from 4pm till 9pm.
