St. Petersburg, FL – LocalShops1 has been recognized as one of only 25 finalists in a nationwide award honoring independent businesses.
Independent We Stand’s Independent Small Business of the Year Award, or “Indie,” helps to recognize a locally-owned small business that has gone above and beyond to deliver great customer service and community support.
LocalShops1, a grassroots organization founded in 2008, is Tampa Bay’s most active advocate for small businesses. With more than 300 business members and more than 25,000 card-carrying shopper advocates, LocalShops1 carries its mission of offering advocacy, support and education to locally owned businesses.
Tampa Bay residents are urged to help LocalShops1 make it to the top 10 round by voting once every 24 hours through Dec. 1: http://www.independentwestand.org/indies/profile.php?id=368
The overall winner, selected from the top 10 vote-getters, will receive a package worth more than $10,000 in cash and prizes.
“We are thrilled to have made it to the finals round, and appreciate everyone who has been voting for us,” says Ester Venouziou, LocalShops1 founder. “If we win, we have a lot of ideas of how we can pay it forward and help further promote small businesses in the region!”
