America’s premier source of free and confidential business advice and mentoring for entrepreneurs, SCORE is driving Veterans’ ability to succeed as business owners into high gear.
The Greater Tampa Region Veteran’s Start-Up Business Resource Expo was developed to inform
and educate our Veterans about a wide array of no-cost or obligation resources available to them and to provide a window into the educational resources they can easily access to gain the knowledge needed for successful self-employment and entrepreneurship. SCORE has created and expanded the resources needed to ensure Veterans and their immediate families can transition into the US economy through self-employment and entrepreneurship.
Our Veterans Program is a comprehensive package of FREE services, including education, free software, our proven mentoring program, and various free and discounted products and services needed to start-up along with several avenues of financial assistance & programs.
SCORE Pinellas also offers an exciting business start-up Grant program to eligible Veterans who qualify. It is designed to assist & guide Veterans and/or their family members achieve their business dreams.
SCORE Veterans programs bring hope, purpose, stability and a renewed sense of dignity to these men and women by helping them succeed at self employment and as small business owners. SCORE works for free with these Vets to come into the mainstream in a meaningful way that also benefits the economy and reduces further unemployment, as those businesses hire additional employees.
In conjunction and partnership with various organizations, SCORE offers benefits and services to thousands of military members in transition, be it from military to civilian or an encore civilian career due to downsizing, sequestration etc, as they seek to support themselves and their families through self employment or a small business venture.
Any Veteran of any era interested in a business will be trained in the basics of starting or buying and successfully operating a business. Following a business model analysis, Pinellas SCORE will provide a training curriculum that typically includes an accelerated Entrepreneur’s Certificate program in cooperation with St. Petersburg College Business School, continuous mentoring sessions and workshops. Training will also be offered to any of the Veteran’s immediate family members at or over the age of 16 who would be capable of assisting the veteran in operating the business. Veterans already in business wanting to advance to the next growth stage can also benefit from these programs. More info & to register www.pinellascounty.score.org
