20+ Free Head 2 Toe (H2T) Screenings
TAMPA, FL—Florida Hospital Carrollwood is hosting its first H2T (Head 2 Toe) wellness and health screening event on Saturday, November 9, 2013, from 9am-1pm in its auditorium, located at 7171 N. Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, FL, 33618.
The event will feature more than 20 free screenings for adults, a combination of point of care and personal assessment. Screenings are still being added daily. Screenings include, to date:
Allergy, Blood Pressure, Bone Density, BMI, Cholesterol, Dermatology/Skin Cancer, Diabetes, ENT/Hearing, Alzeimer’s/Headaches, Gastroenterology, Lungs/Respiratory, Metabolic & Bariatric Weight Loss, Orthopedic, Osteoporosis, Peripheral Segmental Pressures, Podiatry, PVD, Skin Cancer, Sleep Apnea, Smoking Cessation, Spine, Stroke, Urology, Wound Healing, Vascular (foot), etc. All screenings will include interaction with expert physicians and/or clinicians*.

As part of the Florida Hospital Carrollwood Pink Army initiative to combat breast cancer, mammograms will be available in the Florida Hospital Carrollwood Imaging Center. Qualifying** women and men who have never had a mammogram (but should have) will receive their first mammogram free. Those without insurance will be charged only $76 for a screening mammogram. Those wanting mammograms the day of the event can register at jointhepinkarmy.com, select Carrollwood, or sign up at the event. First-time mammograms must be taken no later than November 30, 2013. $76 mammograms must be scheduled through the Pink Army site before November 30, but can be taken anytime through December 31, 2014. At the event, attendees, young and older, will be able to walk through a giant inflatable brain, The AmeriBrain, to learn how the brain works.
A children’s area will include balloons, face painting and activities.
Local food vendors will have healthy-focused food available for sale.
