“Take the Keys” Promotion
TAMPA, Fla. (October 21, 2013) – Singer-songwriter Leah Turner will take to the stage here at Seminole Hard Rock Tampa (SHRT) Saturday, November 16, as part of CBS Radio’s and Columbia Nashville’s “Take the Keys” promotion.
In conjunction with the release of Turner’s new single, “Take the Keys,” CBS Radio’s country stations in Chicago, Houston, Detroit, Seattle, Phoenix, Minneapolis, Charlotte, Pittsburgh, Riverside (Calif.), Sacramento and Tampa (WQYK-FM) will each be giving away a trip to see Turner’s show in SHRT’s Hard Rock Cafe. One of the 11 market winners will be awarded a 2014 Ford Mustang in the “Take the Keys” promotion prior to the show.
Turner, a California native, was signed by Columbia Nashville in July. She grew up in the Morongo Valley on a ranch filled with horses, goats and chickens. Her unique upbringing as a West Coast cowgirl, complemented by her father’s occupation as a championship header in the rodeo, strongly influenced her musical taste. She actually began writing songs when she was six-years-old, while coming back from church.
Her debut single (“Take the Keys”) mixes in a heavy dose of rock and showcases what many have described as her distinctive vocals.
