Michael L. Foreman, shareholder at the firm of Icard, Merrill, Cullis, Timm, Furen & Ginsburg, P.A., recently presented an estate planning seminar at the “Probate & Pumpernickel” luncheon in Sarasota. Held at The Francis, the event served as a continuing education forum for local attorneys and CPAs. Titled “Estate and Incapacity Planning,” the seminar concentrated on the intricacies of estate and gift tax regulations as well as trusts and probates, living wills and trusts, and durable power of attorney.
A part of Icard Merrill since 1969, Mr. Foreman has concentrated his practice on estate and trust planning, administration, guardianships and real estate, with a particular emphasis on planning for incapacity, family wealth planning, fiduciary relationships, accountings, and health care advance directives. Mr. Foreman has earned an AV Preeminent™ rating from Martindale-Hubbell® and often serves as a speaker at statewide seminars for The Florida Bar and other related groups. His civic activities include volunteering as a member of the YMCA Endowment Committee and the local leadership team of All Children’s Hospital Foundation Planned Gifts Advisory Council.
