USF Community Participates in Zombie Fun Run Oct. 18
TAMPA, Fla. (Oct. 16, 2013) – “Keep your head, outrun the (un)dead!” will be the advice offered to students on the Tampa campus of the University of South Florida when the second annual Wellness USF Zombie Fun Run and Fall Fright Festival takes place at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 18 at USF Riverfront Park, located at 6200 E. Fletcher Ave., just east of USF’s Tampa campus.
Participating students, faculty, staff and their guests will get to choose whether to be a human or zombie—complete with makeup–for the 2.5 mile run. The “humans” will start the run first with flags around their waist to represent their health, and will be followed shortly by chaser and stumbling zombies. The goal is for the humans to reach the finish line with at least one health flag left—a bit of a challenge given the course turns back on itself and zombies must be dodged!
Afterward, attendees can enjoy the Fall Fright Festival with free food, a haunted hay ride, corn hole, pumpkin painting, and canoeing.
