TAMPA, FL (Oct. 16, 2013) – Celebrate the new crop of fall flavors being served, starting Oct. 21, at Carmel Cafe & Wine Bar restaurants. Selections range from appetizers and side dishes to entrees and desserts plus specialty cocktails featuring fresh, and refreshing, seasonal ingredients.
Let the rich, satisfying array of flavors begin to unfold by starting with a signature, sharable dish like the new Arancini, a fried risotto featuring Parmesan, fontina and asiago cheeses.
Another enjoyable, and easily shared, dish is the Smoked Bacon & Artichoke flatbread that is deliciously topped with aged provolone cheese and sun-dried tomato aioli.
Soups are always a fall favorite and the new Butternut Squash Soup now included on the menu will be no exception.
Specialty pastas new for fall include the Pumpkin Ravioli featuring toasted walnuts and a sage cream sauce – perfect for vegetarians or anyone who is a fan of pumpkin – and a smoked red pepper pappardelle pasta topped with Bolognese sauce and shaved Parmesan that is sure to please.
Entrees featuring classic Mediterranean flavors that will satisfy hearty appetites have also been added. A succulent, seared tuna steak prepared with a red wine reduction is accompanied by wilted kale and vegetable cous cous. The Grilled Filet Medallions, topped with a portobello port reduction, are cooked to order and savored along with cauliflower mash and haricot verts.
The always popular Warm Poached Pear dessert returns with its signature salted caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream.
Make the most of any meal or visit to Carmel Cafe by toasting with one of the new specialty cocktails that have been concocted from crisp, spicy, tangy and fruity flavors, all offering a hint of fall.
The Apple Pie Martini blends cinnamon apple tea with Stoli Vanilla Vodka, agave, toasted apple slices and a sprig of mint.
The Guava Ginger Splash combines Tequila Reposado with fresh, chopped ginger, guava juice and a splash of lime.
For a kiss of citrus, try the Grapefruit Basil Twist made from Hendrick’s Gin, freshly muddled grapefruit, basil and a slice of lemon.
Carmel Cafe & Wine Bar restaurants create a dining experience defined by an innovative cuisine, a selection of serving sizes for both food and beverages and a revolutionary menu ordering system that offers guests a simple and easy way to customize their entire meal.
