Downtown Partnership continues its “Downtown: Fast Forward” initiative
with upcoming October 16 Debriefing Forum about the community’s future

Tampa, FL (October 11, 2013) – Tampa Downtown Partnership launched an ongoing initiative in June called Downtown: Fast Forwardwhich engages the community in conversations about downtown’s future. To date, the initiative has included a young professionals panel, sponsorship to support other visioning forums, and a Downtown: Fast Forward Video. The video series will continue with a launch of six new videos in the upcoming weeks.
And next week, the Partnership will host its October Downtown Debriefing Series Forum, “InVision Tampa at One Year & Imagine 2040” to keep that look to the future going.

By 2040, Hillsborough County is anticipated to be home to up to 600,000 new residents and generate 400,000 new jobs. Planning for the future is essential. You can help shape Hillborough’s future growth during this interactive session. Beth Alden, Hillsborough Metropolitan Planning Organization will engage the audience in an interactive exercise about the “Imagine Hillsborough 2040” planning initiative.
Curious about the next steps for “InVision Tampa”? Randy Goers, City of Tampa will give an update on the InVision Center City Plan at one year. Hear what’s been accomplished so far and find out what’s next for downtown’s future.
