|Each year, over 300 employees from West Pharmaceutical Services located in St. Petersburg, Florida choose a nonprofit organization in the community that they work and live as the beneficiary of their West without Borders (WwoB) Charitable Fund Drive.
This year they focused their fundraising efforts on supporting children with special needs and chronic illnesses and the Foundation for Dreams and Dream Oaks Camp was the lucky organization chosen as the charity of choice!
The employees of West Pharmaceutical Services gave both time and monetary donations to assist the group’s philanthropic efforts, and their management team lead by Laura Ward and Bradenton resident Rick Valentine were dedicated to wholeheartedly embracing the various events that help to raise these funds.
West Pharmaceutical is a global company that believes that this kind of involvement reinforces the company’s philosophy of giving back to the community. The campaign exceeded its goal and raised more than $10,000 for The Foundation for Dreams!! The Foundation for Dreams plans on using the money to support their Dream Oaks Camp program, a residential, day and weekend camping program that runs throughout the year, for children with varying ability levels (both physical and developmental) and chronic/terminal medical conditions.
