(SARASOTA, Fla, October 9, 2013) Laptop Butler, LLC, launched a made-in-Florida product to help laptop users conveniently manage a beverage container while they are using their computers.
The Laptop Butler™ (www.laptopbutler.com) is a beverage holder that clamps onto a laptop computer to hold a hot or cold beverage. It consists of a clamping mechanism and a sturdy ring attached to a mesh pouch.
William H. and Mary R. Merritt, owners of Sarasota-based Laptop Butler, were inspired to create the product by a commuter’s complaint about trying to manage a cup of hot tea and a laptop while riding the train to work. The Merritts worked with Manasota SCORE mentor Jon Stuart to develop a business plan for the product, which is being produced locally by Delaney Manufacturing.
The lightweight device folds up to easily fit into a pocket or computer bag. The ring and clamping mechanism are made of durable plastic, and the clamp is padded to prevent slippage or damage. The polyester mesh bag is resistant to rips and stains, and it is hand washable.
The Laptop Butler is suitable for imprinting with a company or organization logo. It is currently available in dark grey; suggestions for other colors may be made on the company’s website.
