As if hot sax and a cool Lightning pep rally weren’t enough to kick off the weekend in Tampa Bay, Hillsborough County’s Eat at Joe’s Lunchtime Concert Series on October 11 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. is now welcoming even more special guests: the Lighting’s first All-Star player, Brian Bradley, and Stanley Cup Champion, Dave Andreychuk.
In honor of the former team captain’s recent milestone 50th birthday, Dave Andreychuk will attend Friday’s event bearing gifts: 50 pairs of free Lightning tickets! Fans are encouraged to wear Bolt gear in a show of support. The complimentary tickets will be for the upcoming L.A. Kings game on Tuesday, October 15 inside the Tampa Bay Times Forum. Said Dave Andreychuk, “We’re really excited to have a new season upon us and want Lightning fans to come out and Be The Thunder.”
Former All-Star Lighting centre, Brian Bradley, will also be on hand to greet fans and share pro-hockey tips in the interactive fan zone.
In addition to game tickets, everyone attending Eat at Joe’s lunchtime concert series can meet Thunderbug and the Lighting girls, while enjoying activities from the Bolt Brigade and Rolling Thunder Fan Truck. Musician Alan Darcy completes the “hot sax and cool Lightning theme.”
Visitors may bring their own lunch or buy it downtown. The Eat at Joe’s monthly lunchtime concert series is always free to the public at Joe Chillura Courthouse Square (corner of Pierce & Kennedy, downtown Tampa).
Eat at Joe’s is a partnership among the Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department; the Arts Council of Hillsborough County; the City of Tampa; and the Tampa Downtown Partnership.
