SARASOTA, FL September 26, 2013 – The Central West Coast Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (CWC-FPRA) presents “Managing the PR Function: A Seat at the Management Table” at its October 16, 2013 Professional Development Luncheon at The Meadows Country Club from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. The presenter is international communications trainer and public relations practitioner Susan Croft of Skill-Pill Mobile Learning, a UK based training organization.
“We are excited to welcome Susan Croft to our program line up,” said Caroline Tanner, president of CWC-FPRA and community relations director of Easter Seals Southwest Florida. “She brings a depth and wealth of broad knowledge and experience to our area in line with our goals of advancing the profession through our organization.”
Croft is a co-founder and Executive Director of Skill-Pill Mobile Learning, a start-up company based in London, and offering mobile learning and information solutions to business. She is responsible for corporate affairs and international marketing for the company. She is author of two books – “Win New Business” (2002), and “Corporate Reputation: The New Currency” (2003), both published by Acorn/Thorogood. Her third book – “The High School MBA” will be published in early 2014.
As international public speaker, corporate trainer and PR practitioner, Croft is a partner of ASC Training & Consulting where she is responsible for sales, communications, marketing and management training, as well as public relations consulting for a number of international organizations. She also works for The Centre for Strategy & Communications and runs several communications and management skills programs for this leading UK based training organization. She specializes in media and public speaking training for executives, educators and other professionals.
Croft is an Accredited Member of the Public Relations Society of America, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, and holds a diploma in Journalism from the UK’s National Council for the Training of Journalists. As a member of the Advisory Board for the London School of Public Relations and involved for close to 20 years, and has helped shape the structure and focus of the school’s diploma programs. Croft also teaches at a number of leading Universities in the United States, including San Jose State and USF (Tampa). She has also run courses for Georgetown, UC Berkeley, UCLA and Stanford and has developed one of the first on-line programs on new trends in communications for San Jose State.

The Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) has been serving Florida public relations professionals for 70 years, being founded in 1938 by Lt. Col. John W. Dillin. FPRA is the oldest public relations organization in the United States.
