St. Petersburg, Fla. – The Morean Arts Center has been the hub of the St. Petersburg community for offering fun, creative and easy ways to access art for almost a century. This coming October 2013 will not dissapoint with several offerings during the month for children of all ages, FREE and paid experiences including a few ways to compete against other creative community members. October at the Morean Arts Center will be a fun way to celebrate the fall season. Here is a list and some details on the upcoming promotions and events:
October 1 through October 30
Buy One Get One FREE admission tickets all month long. The St. Petersburg Arts Experience ticket offers admission to the Morean’s four beautiful facilities including the Chihuly Collection, Glass Studio & Hot Shop, Morean Galleries and the Morean Center for Clay. Tickets do not have to be used in one day and can be spread over a 30 day period. Tickets normally retail for $19.95 per person.
Blow Your Own Glass Pumpkin!
October 1 through November 8. Available daily at 12PM, 12:30PM, 5PM & 5:30PM. $75 per person allows the guest a one-on-one hands-on experience with one of our talented glass blowers from the Morean Glass Studio & Hot Shop. Make your own beautiful glass pumpkin to take home with you. Pumpkins not your thing? You can also create your own glass paperweights or small sculptures. Call to reserve your spot: 727.722.7872 x0
Second Saturday Gallery Walk
October 12 – 5PM to 8PM

Enjoy the work of local artist Jono Vaughan in her current exhibition: The Restoration of the Stolen Lock
Season’s Eatings Submission Deadline
Morean Members may submit work that is food related, whether in imagery or use. Show will debut on November 9, on view through January 1, 2014.

Fall Art Frenzy – Family Day 2013

10AM – 2PM
Join the Morean Arts Center for a fun day of family friendly activities geared for kids and adults of all ages. No admission fee for a long list of fun hands-on activities and demonstrations including pumpkin carving and spooky cookie decorating.
There is a $5 entry fee for entering the pumpkin carving contest, please enter early as there is limited availability. Entry forms are available online at MoreanArtsCenter.org

An exciting night of glassblowing, delicious beer and yummy food cart offerings. More details to come.
