The Relay for Life of New Port Richey KickOff will be held on October 16th at 7:00 pm at Gulf High School. Teams and participants are encouraged to attend and register to participate in the 2014 Relay that will take place on April 11, 2014.
Relay for the Life is the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society and each Relay is special to their community. It is a combined effort of participants, volunteers and supporters to help the American Cancer Society save lives from cancer. The premise of the event is that teams camp out overnight and take turns walking or running around a track at a local high school. Events are up to 24 hours long because cancer never sleeps so each team is asked to have at least one participant on the track at all times. Funds raised at the Relay for Life of New Port Richey will stay local to help American Cancer Society services in Pasco County.
Early bird registration deadline is September 30th with an entry fee of only $5 per participant. After the deadline, the fee will be $10 per participant. Registration fees can be paid online at www.relayforlife.org or delivered to Farrell Roofing located at 6835 Commerce Ave in Port Richey. Registrations can also be mailed to American Cancer Society 21754 at State Road 54 Suite 101, Lutz, FL 33549.
