R.R. Simmons Construction Corporation is pleased have been chosen by the Design Build Institute of America ( Florida Chapter) to receive merit awards for two recent projects. Design/Build is an integrated project delivery system where a single service provider provides both the design and construction services to render the project. R.R. Simmons is one of the most seasoned Design/Builders in Florida.
The two projects are a new multi-purpose athletic stadium for The University of Tampa and a new banking prototype for Grow Financial Federal Credit Union. The UT project is called the Naimoli Family Athletic and Intramural Sports Complex. This new sports venue features a classic architecture style designed to blend with the historic fabric of The University of Tampa Campus. The playing surface is the top of the line synthetic playing field and has been designed to accommodate both lacrosse and soccer. The 100% precast concrete stadium was designed and built to service the students at the University for years to come. A fan friendly environment greets the students and teams at this intimate venue.
R.R. Simmons was retained this past year to re-invent Grow Financials banking experience. The with in-line branches in downtown Tampa and Lakeland, the latest ground up prototype is the culmination of the year’s past research and development in re-defining the personal banking experience Grow is delivering to its members. The first prototype has just opened in Wesley Chapel with others to follow shortly in the Bay Area and South Carolina. No teller line, extensive use of technology and natural lighting, the branch conveys the direction banking is headed. Clearly not your father’s branch bank.
This is the second straight year R.R. Simmons has received two awards from DBIA for their design and construction work. For more information about these projects or other information regarding the Design/Build delivery system or R.R. Simmons contact Randy Simmons at email@example.com
