Tampa, Fla. – Haley R. Maple, an attorney with the Tampa office of Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin, was appointed co-chair of the Social Media Committee in the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Litigation.
This is the fifth year Ms. Maple has served in a leadership role in the ABA Section of Litigation, which is the ABA’s largest specialty section. In 2012, she was appointed co-chair of the Communications Committee and she has served as Editor-in-Chief of the section’s quarterly newsletter The Woman Advocate.
In her legal practice, Ms. Maple handles professional liability and construction claims, particularly defending claims brought against architects, engineers, surveyors, and claims against contractors and subcontractors. Her background also includes experience in all stages of litigation, such as pre-suit investigation, discovery, alternative dispute resolution, dispositive motion practice, trial, appellate brief drafting and appellate argument.
She is admitted to the Florida Bar, the U.S. District Court Middle District of Florida, the U.S. District Court Southern District of Florida and the U.S. Court of Appeals 11th Circuit. She is also a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association.
Ms. Maple received her law degree from the American University, Washington College of Law. During her time in law school, she worked as an extern in the Department of Justice, Office of the Solicitor General, under Solicitor General, Theodore Olson. Also while in law school, she was selected two consecutive years as a Dean’s Fellow for the legal research and writing program.
