PODS Announces Pinellas Expansion, 40 New JobsPODS® Enterprises Inc., a national leader in the moving and storage industry, is expanding its headquarters to the Feather Sound Corporate Center in Pinellas County. The project will create 40 jobs and $2.1 million in capital investment by 2016.
PODS has experienced tremendous growth. The company hired an additional 324 associates this year making the larger space necessary.
“Our growth and our desire to provide a great place to work for our associates has driven our need for expansion,” said John B. Koch, President and CEO, PODS Enterprises, Inc. “Moving our corporate headquarters into the larger location in Feather Sound also allows us to expand the size of our National Sales and Service Center at our current location. We are very excited about our relocation and are happy to be staying in Pinellas County.”

Tampa Bay Manufacturing Study Recommendations:Increase Awareness of Career Opportunities and Strengthen Cooperation between Industry & Education
The current economic recovery is leading manufacturers to increase production. With activity on the rise, the industry is beginning to face challenges in hiring qualified workers for critical positions. Already almost 40% of Hillsborough and Pinellas counties’ manufacturers say that the skills gap is limiting business growth. To address this need for qualified workers a coalition of workforce and economic development organization in Pinellas and Hillsborough worked together to produce the Hillsborough-Pinellas Manufacturing Workforce Analysis.
