|August 29, 2013 – Starting this fall, AmeriCorps alumni enrolled as graduate students in selected Webster University master’s programs will be eligible for up to $5,400 in matching awards toward their degree. Webster announced this week that it would participate in the Segal AmeriCorps Education Award Matching Program.
AmeriCorps is part of the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), a federal agency that engages more than5 million Americans in service to their communities. AmeriCorps alumni are eligible to receive from the program up to $5,645 that can go toward a graduate degree after completing their volunteer work. Under the Segal AmeriCorps Education Award Matching Program, Webster University will match that award with$150 per credit hour, at a maximum lifetime cap of $5,400. The Webster University AmeriCorps Matching Award can be applied to eligible programs taught online or at any Webster University location.

The award will be applied for students earning Webster University graduate degrees in:
College of Arts & Sciences: MA Counseling.
George Herbert Walker School of Business & Technology: MA Nonprofit Leadership and Master of Business Administration (MBA).
Leigh Gerdine College of Fine Arts: Arts Management and Leadership (MFA)
School of Education: MA Teaching English as a Second Language
School of Communications: MA Public Relations
