LITHIA, Fla. – Five elementary and middle schools in the FishHawk Ranch area have once again earned “A” grades, according to new grade data released by the Florida Department of Education. The grade calculations were based on performance and learning gains in reading, math, writing and science.
FishHawk Ranch is owned in a joint venture partnership between NORTH AMERICA SEKISUI HOUSE, LLC (NASH), the U.S. business unit and full subsidiary of SEKISUI HOUSE, LTD., Japan’s largest homebuilder and leading diversified developer, and Newland Real Estate Group, LLC, whose development business, Newland Communities, is the master developer of the community. It is one of more than 30 communities the NASH-Newland partnership owns together in 11 states across the United States.
“FishHawk schools have consistently ranked as some of the best in the state because they have excellent teachers, great faculty and engaged parents,” said Pam Parisi, marketing director for Newland Communities. “These schools are one of the main reasons that families choose to live in FishHawk Ranch.”
The achieving schools are Barrington Middle, Bevis Elementary, FishHawk Creek Elementary, Randall Middle and Stowers Elementary. Four of these schools – Bevis, FishHawk Creek, Randall and Stowers– have earned “A” grades every year since they opened.
“The parent-teacher communication is absolutely excellent, and that inspires us go that extra mile for our students,” said Kathy Nixon, a teacher at Randall and resident of FishHawk Ranch. “The support teachers receive from the entire community helps push us toward success.”
