The Working Women of Florida will host its inaugural state conference on September, 5 and 6, 2013, at the Mahaffey Theater. The mission of the conference is to give attendees “tangible take-home tools to help you make your business or your career thrive.”
Since 2009 when the group launched their first chapter in Tampa, Working Women of Florida has hosted several classes, networking events, workshops, etc., but this is their first full scale, statewide conference.
“Working Women is excited to host our first annual state conference. We’ve lined up some terrific speakers and have put together an engaging, educational program to motivate and inspire female professionals and entrepreneurs from Tampa Bay and beyond,” says Jessica Rivelli, founder of Working Women of Florida.
Two of those speakers are former Tampa Mayor, Pam Iorio and New Channel 8’s Consumer Advocate, Stacie Schaible.
Schaible says, “I’m thrilled to be taking part in the Working Women state conference. I am always energized and enlightened after attending a WWOTB event. And this is going to be a big one! It’s always such a potpourri of personalities and shared experiences. It’s women sharing stories to inspire others about both work and life. I can’t wait!”
What Attendees Can Expect:
On day one, guests will enjoy the Conference Kick-Off Reception. Throughout the reception conference guests, vendors and sponsors will get the opportunity to mingle and network inside the Working Women Marketplace. Light bites and champagne will be served.
On day two, the day will begin with breakfast, move into a networking session followed by two education sessions, lunch, a pitch session to learn how to pitch to the media and more. In education session one “more than a dozen speakers will share their tips on how to breakthrough personal barriers, refocus energy on tasks instead of fears and live the life you’ve always wanted.” Then, in education session two “speakers will share creative, real-world strategies to turn your purpose and passion into profits by leveraging your strengths and harnessing your intentions.”
