NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. (August 15, 2013) – Gulfside Regional Hospice is holding an open house to rededicate its Bereavement and Community Outreach Center.
The open house is scheduled for September 5 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Center, located at 6224 – 6230 Lafayette St. in downtown New Port Richey.
“Gulfside Regional Hospice’s first Hospice House has been renovated to serve our community as the new Gulfside Bereavement and Community Outreach Center,” said Linda Ward, president and CEO for Gulfside. “The purpose might have changed for this beautiful house in downtown New Port Richey, but Gulfside’s service and care for the community has not.”
During the open house, visitors can see the updates to both the former Hospice House and the Bereavement Center. Scheduled during the open house is a ribbon cutting with the West Pasco Chamber of Commerce.
At the new Center, bereavement support groups and individual counseling takes place. Spanish-speaking bereavement groups are also available. Gulfside’s bereavement services are available to community members, free of charge, regardless of previous association with the hospice.
Licensed since 1989, Gulfside Regional Hospice has been caring for patients and their families, providing the highest quality of care and loving support and giving medical treatment with comfort and with dignity and respect. Gulfside employs 300 professionals, who care for more than 375 patients daily. For more information about the hospice or any of the Centers, call 800-561-4883 or visit www.GRHospice.org.
