SARASOTA, Fla. (August 12, 2013) – PGT Industries, Inc. recently donated nine decorative windows that are permanently displayed throughout the newly renovated Windows cafeteria on the fourth floor of the Waldemere Tower at Sarasota Memorial Hospital (SMH). The “Windows in Windows” were perfect additions to the new décor. A dedication was held on July 17 to recognize the generous in-kind donation to the Healthcare Foundation.
“We were delighted for the opportunity to provide PGT products to accentuate the theme of Sarasota Memorial’s “Windows Cafeteria”. Our entire PGT family recognizes that – as a local business – we have a certain responsibility to the community that supports us, and we look for ways to give back to organizations that reflect our core values. SMH is an excellent example of this, and the theme of the space made this project a natural fit,” says PGT Vice President of Sales and Marketing Todd Antonelli.
The hospital’s Operation of Plant department, in addition to providing the upgrade to the cafeteria, furnished the custom made panels for the nine donated windows and well as their installation.
“It was pleasure working with PGT and truly appreciate their willingness to step up and supply the windows,” states Sarasota Memorial Director of Facilities, Jim Bugyis.
